Terms of Service

Last updated 29 July 2026

These terms govern your use of plenti ("we", "us"), operated by Adam Stone, a sole trader trading as "plenti", of The Bristol Office, 2nd Floor, 5 High Street, Westbury-on-Trym, Bristol, BS9 3BY, England. By using plenti, you agree to these terms. plenti is offered only to users in the United Kingdom.

1. What plenti is

plenti uses AI to generate a tailored grocery shop for you: it ranks and suggests meal ideas, matches the right ingredients and products to the meals you add, and offers swaps when a suggestion isn't right. Products you buy regularly get added in too. The result is a shopping list you can take into a shop yourself, automatically grouped by aisle, or, if you choose to connect your Sainsbury's account, send straight into your Sainsbury's basket for delivery or collection. Connecting your Sainsbury's account also lets plenti show you your own order history.

2. Eligibility

You must be capable of entering a binding contract to create a plenti account, and plenti is intended for use by adults managing shopping and meal planning for their household. plenti doesn't run an age-verification step, and household members you add (see clause 5) are entered by you, not by themselves.

3. Your account

You sign in with your email address via a one-time magic link, so there's no password to set or remember. Keep access to your email account secure, since anyone with access to your inbox can sign in to your plenti account. Tell us at help@shopwithplenti.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

4. The Sainsbury's connection

Connecting a Sainsbury's account is entirely optional and a separate step from creating a plenti account. If you connect it, you sign in directly on a page served by Sainsbury's, inside plenti, and we never see or store your Sainsbury's password.

We built this to work with Sainsbury's, though we're not officially partnered with, endorsed by, or affiliated with J Sainsbury plc. Sainsbury's runs its own systems, so this feature may occasionally need updating if something changes on their end.

You're responsible for reviewing anything plenti adds to your Sainsbury's basket before you check out. plenti adds items to your basket, but you complete the purchase yourself, directly with Sainsbury's, and Sainsbury's own terms govern that purchase.

5. Household members

Any household member you add is added by you, using only their first name and their food or meal dislikes. By adding someone, you confirm you have the right to plan meals for them and to enter this basic information about them for that purpose. plenti relies on you, as the account holder, to only add real household members you're actually shopping and planning for.

6. AI and your tailored shop

plenti uses AI to help build and personalise your tailored shop: ranking and suggesting meal ideas, matching the right ingredients and products to the meals you add, and offering swaps when something isn't right. Meal and swap suggestions specifically are generated using a third-party AI model. These are suggestions, not guarantees: AI can be wrong, can miss an ingredient, or can suggest something incompatible with a dislike or dietary need you've told us about, so it's always worth a quick check yourself.

Always check ingredients and packaging yourself before cooking or serving anything, especially where allergies, intolerances, or a medical dietary requirement are involved. plenti's dislike tracking is a preference list, not an allergen-management or medical safety tool, and you should never rely on it as one.

We reserve the right to limit, throttle, delay, or suspend AI-powered features on any account, without notice, if usage looks excessive or automated. This exists to protect the service for every user, not as a promise that such limits are already enforced automatically today.

7. Subscriptions and payment

Creating a shop, the core feature that turns your planned meals, household products, and preferences into a tailored shopping list, requires a paid subscription, billed monthly or annually through your Apple ID. Setting up your account and household stays free. Your subscription auto-renews until you cancel it. Standard Apple subscription terms apply:

  • Pricing, billing, and renewal happen through your Apple ID, not through plenti directly.
  • To cancel, go to your Apple ID subscription settings. plenti has no way to cancel it on your behalf.
  • Refunds are handled entirely under Apple's own refund policy, not plenti's. We don't process or control them.

8. Deleting your account

You can delete your plenti account at any time from Settings, by typing "delete my account" to confirm. This is permanent and irreversible, and removes your data from our systems as described in our Privacy Policy.

If you have an active paid subscription, you'll need to cancel it with Apple first. plenti can't do that for you, and deleting your account wouldn't stop Apple continuing to charge you for a subscription with no account left to manage it from.

9. Acceptable use

Don't use plenti to try to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to plenti, its backend, or the Sainsbury's connection beyond your own account; don't use it to submit unlawful, abusive, or harmful content; and don't use the AI features in a way designed to extract, abuse, or overload the underlying model (see clause 6).

10. Intellectual property

plenti itself, its design, and its branding belong to us. Your own content, meaning the meals, notes, and lists you create, remains yours; you grant us the licence needed to process it in order to run the features you're using, as described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Disclaimers

plenti is provided "as is." We don't guarantee plenti, the Sainsbury's connection, or AI suggestions will be uninterrupted, error-free, or perfectly accurate. Meal and swap suggestions are a convenience, not professional dietary, nutritional, or medical advice. To the extent permitted by law, plenti is not liable for losses arising from reliance on AI suggestions, from the Sainsbury's connection being unavailable or changed by Sainsbury's, or from an item added to your basket that you didn't intend to purchase. You're always in control of reviewing your basket before checkout.

12. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so (for example, for fraud, or death or personal injury caused by negligence). Otherwise, to the extent permitted by law, our liability to you for any claim arising from your use of plenti is limited to the amount you've paid us for your subscription in the 12 months before the claim arose.

13. Ending your access

We may suspend or terminate your access to plenti if you materially breach these terms (for example, the acceptable-use clause). You can stop using plenti, or delete your account, at any time.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as plenti's features change. We'll update the date at the top when we do; continuing to use plenti after an update means you accept the revised terms.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and are only intended for users in the United Kingdom.
